We are a same sex female couple. My wife (age 52) and I am about to turn 51. She just had a full hysterectomy. For the last few months I have been experiencing headaches everyday, memory loss, difficulty sleeping and very dry eyes and leg pain. I went to my doctor and he sent me for blood work and a cat scan. The cat scan was normal however my blood work showed slightly elevated potassium. A week before my wife's operation my period stopped. It has always been to the minute of when it was due. My wife prior to her operation was experiencing extreme symptoms of peri menopause. Is it possible that I am also peri menopause and her pheromones could have altered or accelerated my condition?
Olympic12; From what you are saying I really don't think so, However needless to say call your doctor on Monday and find out what the next test is. But I know from other women that STRESS clockwork or not can screw up your period and needless to say you have been under that but you want to make sure that nothing else is going on. So call the doctors you have been seeing and see what they think. Could be also a test they may have run screwed you up some. Best of luck to both of you. Chuck1957
