It could be hiatal hernia. This occurs when the hole in the diaphragm that the esophagus passes through to the stomach widens and allows a small part of the stomach to push up through the widened hole. This can cause pressure and discomfort then when it relaxes and goes back, the pressure and discomfort goes away. See link for more information:
