My wife recently admited to me that she has a fiorocet addition and she wants to find help to detox. She has been taking the drug for almost 20 years and is up to 20 pills per day. Her health is declining and we are both worried about the risks involved with the detox process. We are having a hard time finding someone who specializes in fiorocet detox. Please help us
Your wife is a strong woman to admit this, and to want to go to a detox or rehab centre!!
You can google drug rehabs in your state, get a list and call all of them to see who can help her get off Fiorocet. It won't be easy, but you may just have your wife 'back' again after she gets clean off of it.
You can also call your insurance carrier (if you have insurance) to see if they can recommend a place for your wife.
Best wishes, and stay here for support if you need it, we are a nice bunch,
Hi Shaynen, and give your wife credit! She has admitted to something that could have caused a divorce, but she trusted you, and you listened. It is hard to admit that you have a problem like that, but she did!! If she worked her way up to 20 pills/day, I suggest if you can't find any resources that she work herself down from 20 pill/day. Start with 19 pills/day for two weeks, and then 18, 17, and so on.. Hopefully she won't have any problems with wd, and she will be ok. One thing that she has to do though, is figure out why she ended up in this position in the first place. You guys should find a NA program near you and GO, everyday. They say when you get out of rehab that you have to go everyday for 90 days at first. counting in 30 days of rehab, and she should go at least 120 days everyday until she is completely off the meds, and understands why she took them in the first place.
I do wish you the best for you and your wife especially. You are both going through a very hard time right now, and need the best support that you can get!
