Why would a doctor priscribe Ritalin & concerta together they seem to be the same drug?

They are the same drug!
The only reason I can think of is that the doctor wants a specific dose of methylphenidate (the active ingredient) and needs to use both brands.
You could confirm this with the doctor if you have concerns.

Are you taking them at the same time?I take retalin ir mid way through my morning usually after being up three hours which gets me through what needs to be done goto work take concerta finnish shift and can focus and anxiety issuses are gone . Better able in interact with people . Go home meditate sleep like a baby if I do it the other way the quick drop causes me to start spinning in my head cant relax enough to sleep . Dunno if this helped hope so.
