Using stimulants just wears down the system and aggravates other organs - this feeling of constant up and down in order to control narcolepsy is too much.
I completely agree with you. I have been on Ritalin LA for almost 18 months and the dose is ridicolus! I am taking two 40 mg pills a day and he just told me to add another in between because my body has become resistant to it.! I am still falling asleep two to three hours after taking it! I am 28 years old and I still am sleeping 16 hours a day or more. I have tried Provigil and Nuvigil with no success. It just seems do unhealthy to put so much stimulants into my body. I would live to take something like you are talking about. I would be ready to try it!
It would be great. Considering I'm allergic to everything we've tried already. I lost everything when I got diagnosed with Narcolepsy. I was a truck driver cross country I made great money. Now I don't have a career anymore, no medical coverage and no way to get another job or medical insurance. I lost my Commercial drivers license and no one wants to take a chance I'll fall asleep and get hurt working for them.
