Nitrous Oxide is known as laughing gas because it simply alters the chemical in your brain that makes you laugh. It increases the seretonin in your brain which is the chemical in your brain that makes you happy. I don't know if you have ever been under the gas but for me, I felt really funny. It was almost like I wanted to laugh but I couldn't.
