Why is vicodin 10mg less effective than a 7.5 mg dose? is it due to less tylenol ratio in the 10?

Everyone responds to pain meds differently. The 7.5's have 750 mg of acetaminophen in them, while the 10's can range from anywhere from 350mg to (i believe) 1000 mg. The amount of Tylenol in the 10's can certainly have an affect on your pain relief, in which case you should talk to your Dr. and/or your pharmacist about possibly taking an additional Tylenol along with your current pain med., and upping the dosage of your vicodin in the future.
