my husband is having trouble passing kidney stones & they prescribed pain pills & magnesium oxide. Why is magnesium oxide prescribed?
I think I would call the doctor & verify this prescription. Maybe it was read wrong by the phamatist. Did your husband have labs showing his magnesium levels were low? I just saw on a web site for magnesium Oxide that you shouldn't take it with kidney problems, so please get this verified with the doctor right away. Just call them & ask them why if it's right.
