is this a different form of oxycontin or generic?
The drug maker Pardue recently reformulated Oxycontin to make it tamper resistant. The new pills are marked with an OP on one side. The new pill can no longer be crushed into a fine power and it turns into a gel like substance so it can't be injected. Although Pardue claims that it is the same compound, they have used a lot of fillers in the new pill. There are a lot of complaints from patients, that are legally prescribed this med, about the efficacy. It did not stay in my system long and I had several problems with it. My pain level increased, stomache pains, loose stools and nausea to name a few. Due to the problems, and inability to control my pain, my doctor took me off of it.
