I suffer from allergies, and only take meds for maybe twice a year. I've never tried Mucinex for allergies, yet. How wonderful to know that it has a very good possibility for working to help with my fibromyalgia pain, too!
i too suffer from allergies and have fibo .has the mucinex been proven to work?and please let us know how it works for you !and i know it is over the counter but does it cost a lot?sorry i am asnswering your question with questions!but it would be wonderful if you have found a drug that would help some of us who suffer from allergies and fibro!thanks God bless!
I have fibro. I read about the Mucinex thing and asked my rheumetologist (the best in my area) about it. She said that it has a placebo effect on some people, but there is nothing proven. Apparently the guy who "discovered" this is now going around making money off of people by throwing seminars, etc. He is a fraud. She said that of the hundreds of patients she's treated only one seems to think the Mucinex is working. I totally trust her opinion. She is constantly researching and finding the newest, best medications for her patients. She's not making lots of money from the drug companies either because lots of her suggestions are totally natural and cost little to no money.
If it works for you then awesome! Everyone responds differently. Good luck!
I tried the mucinex regime in the past. At first the fibro got terrible but I pushed through this and after a few days of terrible, everything got better. I think it is something you have to give some time. However, the mucinex was making me nauseated and that's why I stopped.
