Western Medicine only prescirbes a pill or surgery. Depression should not be a lifetime desease. Does anyone use therapy with antidepressants such as Pristiq?
Yes and actually in most places they recommend THERAPY first before Medication Adminstration. Some places will not even let you get medication unless you are in therapy. So yes.I would say that THERAPY is a KEY BENEFICIAL FACTOR in recovery from DEPPRESSION.I hope that I was helpful to you my friend.Take care and if you have any more questions feel free to ask my friend. This site is for SUPPORT so we are here to help you.
Yup. I use Pristiq, and I also have a Psychologist. I have a long list to work with, but do hope to be off at least almost everything if at all possible. I think that part of the problem is mental, but part may be due to a dark family history, and could also be biologically inherited (you'll never know until you try though). I have anxiety (social, general, and panic), depression, C-PTSD, hypersomnia, and fibromyalgia. Now, if all the meds are causing the hypersomnia is in question, and we're trying to figure that one out, but as long of a list as it seems, apparently, there's a good chance that if I solve the C-PTSD (long childhood trauma along with repressed memories - don't remember much of my childhood), it very well could clear up the depression, anxiety, and sometimes, sometimes identical to fibro pains are also caused by trauma disorders. Fingers crossed, but I think that it's pretty bleak to think that there will never be an end, no matter how severe. The trauma disorder is a new thing that emerged with a random flashback, but before that, we were working on my panic symptoms, and now I can control them much better than ever before! Unfortunately, the other anxiety issues have yet to be worked out, and the trauma disorder is seen as priority number one.
