I was given a pill with 198 on one side and a N on the other. I was told it was focalin n it was like some sort of ADHD med but I can't find it on here anywhere. Has anyone else seen or heard of it
I have not been able to find a match.
I suggest you take the pill to your local pharmacy, perhaps the Pharmacist might be able to ID it or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222.
Best of luck...
It is Dexmethylphenidate, which is the generic for Focalin. It is used to treat ADHD, by affecting the chemicals in the brain that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control. It mild stimulant to the central nervous system. The thought is that stimulants help improve the symptoms of ADHD by making it easier for the user to concentrate, avoid distraction, and control behavior.
