I am now having my period, but I have not started taking the red pills. I am wondering is it ok to take the pills in sequence no matter when the period come.
Its not only ok, its the only way you are supposed to take them. Since you didn't say what pills you're on I don't know which is which but you take the 3 weeks of active pills, then the week of inactive ones. You never alter this no matter if you're bleeding or not. When the week of inactive ones is done, you start the next pack, whether or not you're period is over.
If you are speaking about birth control pills, DO NOT alter the schedule in any way no matter if you bleed or dont bleed! Take one pill a day the way they come in the pack. Your bleeding may not be regular in the first few months and may come at odd times but the only way to regulate that is to consistently take your pills as they come in the pack. After a few months, your period will come when you take the inactive pills and be more predictable. So now, just keep taking them in sequence no matter when your bleeding comes. You may get "breakthrough" bleeding which is bleeding outside the week for your period and you may also get your period too OR you may have breakthrough bleeding then no bleeding when your period is supposed to be happening. This is all normal when first starting the Pill. Keep them in sequence no matter what!
