Have severe sciatica in right leg and minor sciatica in left leg. Having MRI on 01/19/12.
erfngel, welcome to the site. I hate to say what pain med is right for you because we don't know your medical history. Are you seeing a neurosurgeon after your MRI or at least an orthopaedic? I am sure they will discuss your pain level at that time & decide what is best for your pain. If we were to give you a list & you see your doctor with it & say well I want this or that, they will think you are a drug seeker & show you the door! That's just the way it is these days. There are many pain relievers from tylenol to opiate. Sometimes drugs like gabepentin help people. It all depends on your level of pain which they will use a pain scale from 1 thru 10 & how often & when it worse , what relieves it & so on. There are a lot of ifs in there & only your doctor will know best with your medical history included. Hope this helps...
