I have a question about methadone/suboxone and want to be able to chat back and forth with someone knowledgeable on the subject. Is there a way to do that or do you post/read over long periods of time?
Did you start using pain meds because of pain? There are all kinds of people in this group of "Pain". Some with chrontic pain & others who are or have dealt with addiction. Good luck to you. I will see what groups I can find for you & try to get back to you or I am sure some one else will get that done before I do...
I am a recovering addict and alcoholic. I belong to the addictions group. There are alot of wonderful people on this site which are very willing to help you with your addiction issues. As Mary and caringsonbj pointed out, today is a slow day on the cyberwaves because of it being a day of celebration in the US. If you want, maybe add some more info to your post so people will get to know you and be willing to share their story. I have been in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction for many many years. I am very willing to help anyway I can.
CONGRATULATIONS on wanting to get straight and please repost,
Welcome to this site, if you are new!
As other's have suggested, add some info to your question, tell us your story if you wish, or make a profile, so we can get to know you and your issues.
I've been through cold turkey OxyContin withdrawal, and will help in anyway I can. If you are in WD let us know, we may be able to help you out!!!
Best wishes to you,
Hi and welcome to the group here! I know I subscribe to the 'Suboxone' group, and Suboxone and Subutex
Are two commonly used meds with addiction and I have learned a lot from subscribing to that. Dont feel you have
To limit yourself - join as many groups as apply and start watching and joining in to questions. As you support others they will support you and we'll help you get to where you want to be. Take care!
ur best bet is to find a detox center they will keep u as comfortable as poss, feed u,and in a few days u'll feel like a new person i think this is a better route than sub-meds that could lead to new addiction i think detox give u a chance for a new direction which happens to b the name of 1 of the many programs out their some times they'll even come pick u up or give u a bus ticket thats how much care.
Getnstrait I so wished I would have seen your question in 2011 shortly after you posted it. Hopefully you got the help you needed. Here is my testimony. I too abused drugs all my life. My favorite was the opiates. I had heard all the horror stories about Methadone and was too scared to go for help until my best friend went and I saw the change in her and it was good. I went and can say proudly that Methadone saved my life!!! Please find a clinic and turn your life around. The sooner the better. I've been in treatment for over 4 yrs without a relapse! You can do it!
