I have been taking Vytorin 10/20 for three years with great results. My insurance has changed and gave me the choice to change to a generic cholesterol medication to lower my cost. Should I go with Simvastatin since my Vytorin 10/20 contains this same drug? I have these choices to make in generic SIMVASTAIN & PRAVASTATIN.
Zetia and Simvastatin. I switched from Vytorin to Simvastatin and Zetia to lower the cost. Simvastatin was a large savings. Zetia was almost $30.00 more than Vytorin even with Medicare
and my secondary Insurance. The price of Vytorin was a little over $1000.00 without Insurance in the St Louis area.
Needless to say I'm going back Vytorin, til I can find a better replacement
