Ringworm of the scalp (tinea capitis) is contagious. Once the infection has completely gone you will stop being contagious - treatment usually needs to be taken for 4 to 8 weeks.
I'm taking the terbinafine for the full prescribed duration. I've found if you stop too soon, the problem reoccurs because it wasn't totally gone when the medicine was stopped. Good Luck, Patsy
