Unfortunately, it is very possible that warfarin could have caused some of his issues. Warfarin is a category X for use in pregnancy. I am surprised they didnt have you on a strong birth control methods as you were in your childbearing years. Data suggests fetal complications when taking Warfarin anytime during pregnacy and Fetal Warfarin Syndrome when taken in the first trimester. Complications can include CNS defects, spontaneous abortion, still birth, prematurity hemorrhage, and ocular (eye) defects. Fetal warfarin syndrome includes nasal hypoplasia, hypoplasia of extremities, developmental retardation, low birth weight and eye abnormalities. Here is a link to read more.
