I got severely burnt last year in a house fire. I have cronic pain in my ankles and at night the pain is so bad i carnt stand. wondering if i should swop to tramadol as the side affects for ms contin are full on and not sure what the difference is?
MS Contin (morphine sulfate ER) is a prescription medication approved to treat moderate to severe pain. It should only be used when continuous, around-the-clock use of strong painkillers is necessary for an extended period of time. It is not approved for short-term or "as needed" (not around-the-clock) use.
Tramadol hydrochloride is a prescription medication approved to treat moderate to moderately severe pain in adults. Currently, tramadol is not considered a controlled substance or a narcotic by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). However, this medication has significant potential for abuse and is classified as a controlled substance in certain states.
Hope the info helps? Take care, best wishes!
