Celexa comes in 10, 20 and 40 mg tablets. Quite honestly, the doctors prescribe a dose that they believe will work for you. Since no med treats everyone exactly the same, there is a lot of guess work when it comes to doses of psych meds. If the prescribed dose the doctor has given you doesn't work, then he/she will adjust it until the right one for treating your symptoms is found. Hope this helps.
