Cefalexin or Cephalexin capsules contain cephalexin, which is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by interfering with the bacteria's cell wall formation. This weakens the cell wall, causing it to rupture, and kills the bacteria.

cephalexin is also as a capsule called keflex and smells of bad eggs. On the upside if you have no allergen to penicillin it can work wonders fighting a host of infections.
