I dropped one at home one day but fortunatly found it. Was just wondering how serious it could have been if he had found it and consumed it.
An extra strength vicodin ingested by an 18 month old about 20 to 25 lbs? I'm assuming on the strength of the pill and weight of the toddler, worse case scenario, may have caused respiratory depression. Thank goodness you got to the pill first! Accidents happen all the time, a good lesson for me too! I know this is a bad comparison, but I accidentally dropped a 10mg valium and my 15 lb dog snatched it up before I could get to it. Called the vet, said not to worry she will be very sleepy though. The vet was wrong. She got goofy on me. In my face, lost all manners, up on hubby's expensive leather recliner (big no no) laying on her back rubbing away...
Just very glad to hear everything turned out ok.
