taking prozac and xanax and the depression is not getting better
Spaonna, I am Linda. I am new to this but, after reading some of the questions, responses, for the first time I feel that I need support too. As far as your depression and anxiety, I used to take what you are taking. I am just starting to take a new anti depressant called Pristiq. I have taken so many different ones since 1999 when I was diagnosed with Bi-Polar. I had brain surgery on an aneurism that is still in the back of my brain. As a result of the surgery, I have not been the same and I developed anxiety disorder and now Panic Disorder. The best thing I found so far is Lorazapam and Lyrica. But the key to using it is 2-3 times a day. It makes you a bit fuzzy headed but, you have to learn how to adjust to it.
I still have a little hard time because I have to try and function and when taking it it makes it hard to do anything but, at the same time taking that has really reduced my Panic attacks. For the most part we are guinie bigs and we have to do our own research as well as what the doctor is trying to do until you find the one that helps you. I am still trying to get somewhat back to normal but, its hard. Its a disability for the most part and one that you cant see nor others. Trying to get others to understand can me hard.
i have been on zoloft for about 2 yrs and saphris about a month and i can tell you the saphris has been a miracle for me i think you should try it and u can try it with a depression med also. it has been the best for me. i take 10mg every night before bed i take 200mg of zoloft also before bed. good luck!
I take luvox, lamictal and wellbutrin in the morning and all three of those help with both and then at night i take 25mg of seroquil thats the lowest dose and when i tried coming off of the seroquil my depression came back instantly so i would say ask your doctor about one of these meds and see if you would recommend it to u.
