My sis-in-law is married for for 9 years but has not been able to conceive. She has been diagnosed with cyst in one of her ovary. She has been operated upon but the cyst resurfaced. She has done IUI but that also failed. The doctor has advised IVF but that too does not have a 100% success rate.In a laparoscopy this time, the doctor said that her ovary will be removed if the cyst can't be removed completely. She does not want to remove her ovary as that will reduce her chances of becoming pregnant. Her cyst or rather cysts, have started paining also.Last month she tested positive for pregnancy but it did not stay for more than a week. Is there any way by which she can get preganant naturally?
I can understand it is very heart breaking. Infertility is very difficult to explain and what happens along the way is also very complex. It is also important to be mindful that anything can go wrong all along pregnancy. Doctors can only assist to their maximum capacity.
She can just keep on trying. I don't know about the criteria about ovary removal if a cyst exists and you have to follow her doctors advise on that. I really wish her all the best.
