Can a doctor legally take a patient off vicodin after two years for no reasob. Im worried about withdrawels.
Of course they can. There's no law that says a doctor has to prescribe anything they don't feel is necessary. vicodin is a quick acting pain killer and is pretty much useless as a chronic pain control drug. 2 years of taking vicodin is way to long and if you really did require a pain killer you wouldn't be happy with a relatively weak opiate like hydrocodone(vicodin, norco, lortab). You would have begged your doctor for something that would have helped with your pain, after 2 years you would be getting little relief. Time to get your life back. Google the Thomas Recipe and follow it as close as you can. You are going to feel lousy for about 5 days and then you will begin to recover. You will see just how shitty you have really been feeling once you get over the withdrawals. Hang in there... Dave
