Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
Vitamin B-12 deficiency has occurred with long-term (over 3 years) treatment with medications similar to dexlansoprazole. Tell your doctor immediately if you develop and of these symptoms of vitamin B-12 deficiency: unusual weakness, sore tongue, numbness or tingling of the hands/feet.
A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
