I've recently been diagnosed with narcolepsy and was on Nuvigil 250mg a day $280 a month. That was not working so my doctor switched me to Provigil. With my insurance it is $700 per month along with my Cataplexy meds($45). I am only 16 years old and my family cant cut expenses anymore than we already have for other reasons. I have an extreme case of narcolepsy and am not able to drive, work, or participate in school without medication. I have made the decision to not resort to adderall and other drugs like adderall because i hear they are extremely addicting, make you moody, and often times people abuse it without even realizing it. Should I give it a try? Is there any organizations that can help me pay for the $700 medication? What do you think?
What should I do if I cannot afford my current medication for narcolepsy?
