... remedy might work for sore throat, cough, runny nose and sneezing besides the feeling of having been hit by an entire convoy of tractor-trailers?
Oh no! Sorry this has taken so long!
Okay - while you are taking Savella, cough preparations containing suppressants such as dextromethorphan are out.
You can however take preparations containing acetaminophen (pain/fever reducer) and antihistamines. Keeping dosed up on acetaminophen will generally make you feel better (take it regularly) and an antihistamine will help dry up a runny nose and ease the sneezing. A drowsy antihistamine such as chlorpheniramine will help you sleep at night too. Sometimes antihistamines can also help with a tickly cough associated with a runny nose.
Decongestant nasal sprays are okay to use (you are best to avoid oral decongestants such as phenylephrine), and lozenges containing anesthetics such as benzocaine are also okay to use.
Your local pharmacist will be able to help you choose the right products.
Remember to rest and drink lots of fluids and you'll be right again in no time.
