... to the buttom of left foot. using a walker! only can tiptoe with left foot. I have rheumatoid arthritis on a everyday basis
I bruised my sciatica nerve in a fail which was so painful I had to go to the emergency room. My doctor sent me to phyical therapy and it worked wonders. I was in therapy a month. Maybe your doctor can recommend you to a therapist. Good luck... I know how painful it is, can be unbearable.
I also have sciatic nerve pain on my left side as you described. I have severe back problems though. The best thing i have tried is epidural shots. They helped when nothing else did. They were done in the pain management office. I had a set of 3. Each one done every 2 weeks. Then you can't get another set for 9 months if i remember correctly. also the next best thing that has helped me is- a medicine called neurotin. I take 800 mg 3 x's a day. That is the maximum dose i think. It has helped me when nothing, even strong narcotics, did not. Good luck and hope you find some relief. Sciatic nerve pain is very difficult to deal with on a daily basis. Also one last thing that you may consider-- a heating pad placed on back of leg has helped some in the past. Best wishes!!
