I am 16 and have been suffering from symptoms of Vitamin D Deficiency since the age of 13. I was finally diagnosed a few days ago with a Vitamin D level of 20. i was wondering what diseases are possible to get from this deficiency and if I am more likely to get them due to the time it took to diagnose it?
Vitamin D is essential for the body's utilization of calcium. A deficiency may result in severe loss of calcium and consequently a softening and weakening of bones.
