I am 59yrs and never had this problem before. Now I have had this for almost 1 month and have tried elevation, ice packs, heat, walking very little (just when I really have too).
My dr. thinks itf fluid retention and has prescribed that I take 2 Diurex every 6 hours and continue elevation. My skin gets sooo tight sometimes that they hurt. I also have arthritis in my knees especially my left knee. The Diurex is not helping, the ice does very little as does the elevation. I heard of a procedure whereas they insert a syringe and physically drain the fluid out through a tube. This sounds painful but then no more so than what I am going thru now. Does anyone have any further suggestions on how to relieve Adema pain and suffering?
