My granddaughter was on Adderall. When she went for appointments the doctor alway checked her blood pressure, and other vital signs, also blood work was done for a CBC, Thyroid, Cholesterol, Blood sugars, and I think something else but I am not sure what that other one was. These blood tests were done once a year and vital signs were check monthly when she went to the psychiatrist. The only thing about Adderall is that in some people it can also stunt their growth so keep an eye out on that. It helped her alot but she also got some headaches from it, not all people do though, she was taken off it and put on another Concerta and is doing great, no outbursts anymore and she can concentrate better, less side effects for her too. Hope this helps you. Oh she did have one EKG before they put her on meds it is pretty standard because it is actuall a stimulant so they need to make sure the heart is fine, she only had to have one.
