You don't say WHAT KIND of pills you are meaning. I know from my own breastfeeding experience you can take Tylenol in recommended dosages. I had 2 cesareans and had to take Tylox while nursing, its not recommended, and it was for post surgical pain, and short term. But nothing like that is recommended unless absolutely necessary. Your best bet is to talk to YOUR pediatrician and/or OB/GYN as to YOUR specific situation, depending on what type of medication you think you are in need of.
