and swelling. I take water pills for the water retention and it helps with some of the pain and swelling. When I stopped taking water pills for a week, the sharp shooting pain came back even worse. Doc said to keep taking the water pills and another doc put me on cymbalta but after reading the pamphlet inside the box, decided not to try it. He had put me on another one that made me so dizzy, I fell in the shower and laid there for over an hour until someone found me. So I'm afraid to try cymbalta. From what I have read so far, so many side affects. I don't sleep as it is with another med I am taking, I probably will never sleep!
Hi, something you may want to consider talking to your doctor about is using amitriptyline. I take 50mg about an hour before i go to sleep and it helps with my back pain and helps with my insomnia. Amitriptyline is classed as an antidepressant but don't let that put you off, as it can be used for many other reasons. It has been extremely helpful for me so i wanted to suggest it for you to consider.
