For months now, I feel wet down, it itches and it's gradually turning me off. I know it's a candidiasis but can't make any good drug out. The last time, the douching solution my doctor gave me was so bad. Help.
I'm not a doctor so obviously no specialist but I had the same problem with persistent yeast infection a couple of months ago. All the creams had failed and I was constantly uncomfortable.I can't imagine why a doctor would prescribe douching for yeast. That seems completely counter productive. Its hard to say what drug will work best for you because everyone is different and what works for one might not work at all for you, but I know for me that I took fluconazole? (sp) and that it worked wonders. It was a one pill dose of an antifungal and it knocked my yeast infection out within two days completely. Its also good because there are no messy creams involved, for a weeks worth of treatment..ugh. BTW.. I belive flucanzole is generic for diflucan so you could ask for either from you gyn.
