does the ingrediants consist of morphine, hydrodone,or oxydone
Nucynta™ (tapentadol) is an opiate pain reliever. It is the first new molecule for pain relief to be developed within the past 25 years. It is approved to treat moderate-to-severe short-term pain in adults. You could get more details from your pharmacist/doc who prescribed the med, hope this helps?
It is a narcotic & thus a controlled substance.
Nucynta (https://www.drugs.com/tapentadol.html) is an opioid medication that came out about 1and 1/2 years ago. The difference between this and other opioids is that Nucynta also works with the noepinephrine in the brain to help with pain as well as working as a traditional opioid. I have seen written that it is "similar to morphine", I don't know why that has been written. It's not as strong by far, and really not comparable to any other narcotic out at this time (there is not yet a generic form of this med yet to my knowledge). I have taken this on and off for many months, and found the transition from vicodin very smooth, as well as more effective for pain control.
