There is no limit on the dosage of this medication, nor other opiates. Only what the patient can tolerate and stay awake and still breathe on their own, and what the doctor's personal limits of what they will prescribe. I know of one person who was on 300 mcg and used 6 - 1200 mcg Actiq in a day. When his doctor left the area he could not find another to write for him at anywhere near that strength. It's very personal - what level will treat the pain without killing the patient.
