Please google the Thomas Recipe Opiate Withdrawal and look over the list of meds, supplements and the journal of the man who started the recipe. This is one way if you are thinking of doing this on your own. There is also methadone and suboxone/subutex and a few other medications that can help. You did list that you have fibromyalgia( which I also have) and MS. You may always have some pain from that so, I actually would suggest methadone as it is a long acting pain medication. It gets a bad rap, but, I don't know your pain level and it could be great and you may always need something so you can continue to function. If you are determined to be off all pain meds, then suboxone/subutex may be for you. If I were you, I would see a pain management doctor to sort out what alternatives there might be ( antidepressants/neurontin, biofeedback) for the pain in the future and see if you can find an therapist who specializes in addiction. Not only will that be support for you, but, they are good at figuring alternative therapies, and know what doctors to see.I sincerely do Pray for you, one painful condition is hard enough but 2 of them would be a nightmare. Join the fibromyalgia group and the MS group and read thru old posts. There may be some answers there also, as alternative treatments. I am on suboxone and it works well for me. I also used to take amitriptyline and it worked pretty well for my fibro. It is cheap and may list alot of side effects, but, I only had dry mouth from it, and that can be fixed easily. Best of Luck to you.
