I have RA, Lupus< and neuropathy.
i am sorry no one has answered you yet but i take 60 mgs of oxy a day but i would tell you to call and talk to a pharmacist on this one as this is avery serious question you are asking and why were you on methdone in the first place. I have never heard of it being given for the things you have as i have two of the same things. Please get back to me if you find out this info as i always am wanting to learn new things. I tried googling it but got nothing. Leron
I was recently switched from 30 mg oxycontin (10mg 3times per day) and 40 mg of oxycodone (IR) immediate release to 40 mg of methadone per day.
My doctor added up the total amount of oxycodone I took daily (including the 30 mg of oxycontin which is a long acting oxycodone) and then looked up the conversion factor in a book.
My daily total was 70 mg of oxycodone including oxycodone extended release(ER) which is Oxycontin and oxycodone immediate release (IR) - so the conversion was from 70 mg oxycodone a day to 40 mg of methadone per day.
Hope this helps.
