That is also what I have been told. I personally have never taken percocet. I have taken oxycontin. I got to liking it so much that I went into rehab to get off of it. I, the addict in me, got addicted very fast and felt like superwoman. Little did I know, it was the medicine making me feel that good and I would hurt my back even more doing things I should not have. Hope I helped. Kimmie1
Oxycodone is the active opiate in percocet which also has Tylenol it. Oxycodone by itself I believe in the States is called roxicodone and is immediate release. Oxycontin is a sustained release oxycodone. They are all the same opiate with different delivery systems so to speak.
