Hey tlap,

The hydrocodone with acetominophen contains two analgesics, one being the opiate hydrocodone the other being the analgesic acetominophen (tylenol). The oxycodone hydrochloride is also an opiate based analgesic which is stronger in pain relieveing ability than the hydrocodone. The oxycodone comes in two formulas: one is just oxycodone by itself, the other is the oxycodone with acetominophen.

So bottom line the oxycodone is generally considered stronger pain reliever than the hydrocodone.

Hope this helps,

Laurie
