What is the difference between chloroquin &hydroxychloroquin?

Hello,

Chloroquine is an antimalarial drug and hydroxycloroquine is also used to prevent malaria. They are very similar in that aspect.-

Hydroxychloroquine is also used to treat symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and discoid or systemic lupus erythematosus.

Chloroquine is also used to treat infections caused by amoebae (single-celled life-forms).
