I had to stop Elavil when I got pregnant and while I was nursing the baby. I had much more effective results for my migraine syndrome from Elavil, so now that I have finished nursing, I would like to restart the Elavil and stop the Zoloft.
As you probabaly know
Elavil (amitriptyline hydrochloride) is a prescription medication that is used to treat depression.
Zoloft (sertraline hydrochloride)
is licensed to treat a number of conditions, including:
Depression (also known as major depression or clinical depression)
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)
Social anxiety disorder (social phobia).
So as we both know you are dealing with meds which treat serious "conditions", and from my experience , I am 41 male Bipolar among many other "conditons" have tried many meds and combos... always under proffessional supervision my Psychiatrist and Neurologist.
I stronlgy suggest you do the same..eventhough you have been on both drugs, never make a decision on your own or self medicate..contact your Psyachiatrist.
