I took Loratabs for 9 years and weaned myself down to (2) 10's a day but could never quit. I started the Suboxone program a little over a year ago and am wondering what is the best/ easiest way to get off this stuff? I am currently on 8mg's daily. According to my doctor I will be on Suboxone for the rest of my life. However, I cannot continue to keep taking Suboxone because it has been making me feel severely depressed for months and I don't know how much longer I can take feeling like this. *Also, someone mentioned Subutex, does anyone know anything about this drug or is it identical to Suboxone?
I think telling someone they'll be on subutex for life is a crock. That's just me. I used opiates for decades and used subutex to stop. Here is a link that explains the way I did it and how I suggest tapering for others. You're on and off totally clean in 6-8 weeks. We have a LOT of people on the drugs.com forum on subs right now. I do it every day. Here is the link. Let me know if you want some help. Good luck and God bless. :)
i fell the same way it makes me very tired ands sluggish at times and if your taking to much it will deff make you deppressed try going down even alill not alot the first two days or so you shouldnt notice tapering down id lower ur dose to 6 mg and stay on that for a week or two i heard it takes about a week to adjust to a new dose then see how you feel on the 6mg like i said you shouldnt feel like crap from 8mg to 6mg ask your doctor the subutex has only the bup in it no naloxone like sub has naloxone so if a drug user injects the sub with the naloxone in it they will get really sick but the sub dosnt have the naloxone i been wanting to try it i also heard some people react to the naloxone even tho i think its a low dose but im not too sure ask your doctor
