Since your name here is Joan, I am thinking you may be female, Birth control pills will help alot with acne. If you don't want to go that route, some dermatologist prescribe a regimen of antibiotics for acne, medications containing benzoyl peroxide and facial scrubs either over the counter or prescription and sometimes a drying agent for the skin. If it is a simple case of a few bumps, try the benzoyl peroxide meds that you can find over the counter, if it is starting to get inflamed and red or scarring, go to a dermatologist for a prescription, or an ob/gyn and get on the pill.
