Hi monica... I would try b- vitamins,herb teas,ect first. My experience... I've had insomnia for 25yrs. A very traumatic event,plus a nervous breakdown affected my brain, it won't click over so I can sleep. Been taking trazodone( an antidepressant) that is very sedative. Taken with food at bedtime, I go out like a light.No raising dosage level either. Talk or tell you doctor about it. A psychiatrist prescibes it to me. Lack of sleep is very injurious to your health.
