I have just recently had a cervical discectomy and have rx's for all 3 medications. Today, for some reason, I'm in more pain that usual, and I want to take the strongest medicine and go lay down.
This question has also been asked and answered here: Vicodin vs Percocet: What's the difference?
Darvocet is propoxyphene and a very weak and useless drug. They don't even prescrbe it here in Canada anymore as plain tylenol was proven to be a better pain killer. Hydrocodone is a little stronger(vicodin) and oxycodone (precocet) is stronger then hydrocodone. So I would choose the percocets for short term acute pain from surgery. You should only need them for a couple days anyway..Good luck... Dave
