... pressure, kidney disease, history of strokes and heart attacks, diabetes and heart disease?
What do you want this medication to do? Now if it is for Dementia, you should have this person evaluated by a Neurologist. They deal with strokes, and dementia. Sometimes the dementia is caused by the strokes. Maybe this person is having active strokes. This doctor can tell if this is the issue. As this is his/her field of expertise.
I can't say what is a good medication but I can say don't give seroquel for dementia. Also find out everything you can about meds that are prescribed for elderly patients with dementia - some can be very dangerous and only make the agitation and aggresssion worse.
Hope this helps
