What if keppra xr doesnot work a 3000 a day?

My doctor says more than 2,000mg a day can actually cause seizures. If Keppra XR doesn't work for you then your doctor will have you try a different medication.

Keep in mind your doctor "shouldn't" of decided that your proper dose 3000 mg a day is based on your severitness of seizures or epilepsy.
Instead, the proper Keppra milligrams per day should have been based on your actual weight.
Yes, if the proper "weight dose" is not getting the seizures under control then your doctor/neurologist might bump up the dose a bit.
Or another alternative could be adding another anti-seizure medication in addition to taking the proper weight dose of Keppra.
