Son committed Suicide taking these drugs.
I have been prescribed both in the past. I take Lexapro in the morning, and Ambien I was obviously taking at night. Ambien made my sleep walking, sleep talking, sleep eating, etc. much worse. If I took it with anything else that caused drowsiness I was knocked out, but couldn't remember a thing that happened after I took the Ambien. I believe it when they say people would drive while taking it - There was plenty I didn't remember while taking it, but I looked like I was awake to anyone who saw me. So, from my experience, I wouldn't take them together if Lexapro makes you sleepy (it doesn't make me sleepy at all) and definitely don't drink alcohol while taking Ambien. A friend of mine can drink a few a beers with no problem - He had one after taking his Ambien and woke up with a concussion, a laceration that needed stitches and lots of blood on him from hitting his head on the tub faucet. He thinks he might have been trying to take a bath, but he doesn't remember even going into the bathroom.
Hope this helps you some - Just please be careful what you do with medicines while taking Ambien.
May you be blessed with good sleep - Terra
